one month, baby.

Hello! Today was pretty wonderful! I did a photo shoot with a photographer I know (here is his site), it was so fun! I styled and modeled three different looks.. it was in this amazing refurbished warehouse in NE Minneapolis. yayayyayyy! Anyways, if you follow me on any of these social networky thingys then you might have seen a bit of this outfit, anyways it was the first one I styled. It was inspired by Ricky from Trailer Park Boys..the best show ever.

I move to LA in ONE MONTH! I AM SO EXCITED. To quote myself on formspring: 

I don't think I can express how excited I am to move to LA via the internet. Everyday I think about it, heck every hour I think about it multiple times. I dream about it (literally), google map different neighborhoods, stalk Madeline's blog to find cool stores that I will check out, I go on craigslist and apply to jobs even though it is probably too for that, I plan out how much money I need each month and how much I will need to make hourly in order to be alright money wise, and I look up dogs and cats that I want once I get there, and I talk to my bff sarah everyday about how excited we are to move, we have a countdown, she even got a countdown app for this, I have ALREADY packed and I dont move for another month, basically I am super excited.

Bugle Boy

Hello my friendssss. This week (and last week as well) my family and I have been moving into our old house. We had a fire in November and we are FINALLY able to move back in. wooooooohoooo. only that means that I will be moving twice in less than 2 months. ehh whatever.

Hi! Today I was in a weird mood, but I kind of had an epiphany.. I don't feel like getting in to the grimey details, mostly I am just super excited to move to LA.

Can I just say, wow. thanks world for a good day?! I sent off a package to a lady who bought something offa my Etsy shop, and then I sent two friends packages. I am so excited and I want to say what I sent them, but I will wait, it's a surprise!! hehe. Blogger buddies are seriously the best thing ever invented. Also thank you for Grimes, and thank you for my wonderful reception job. I am going to miss this job TONS. I love it, I get to talk with fun people all day and the staff who work here are the best.. ahh true love. HIRE ME AS A RECEPTIONIST L.A.!! haha I love doing it, and I am pretty good at it, IF I DO SAY SO MYSELF.

Today I jingled through downtown MPLS due to the little chimey bells on my dress, and my heels echoed against the walls of the buildings in downtown. All in all a good day.

Hello world! 

As I was editing these photos I was rocking out to Shakira, fun fact about me, Shakira is my all time favorite musician. Now, if you follow my on twitter you might know that I was contemplating uploading a video of me dancing like crazy to Shakira, and I think I will, just another time.. hehe. not today my frienz, not today.

Ok, you know my jLo white faux fur coat? Well on Easter I went out for lunch with my family and my bestie, and GUESS WHAT?! Our waiter accidentally spilled a mimosa ALL over my jacket, and my dress from Sugarlips, and my lil purse! wahahaha. But I am not one to fret about things like that so, I mostly just felt bad for the waiter, how embarrassing!! eep! The restaurant said they would pay for the cleaning of all of that, sooo today I walked to the dry cleaners and this is what I wore:

 This vest has rips and studs and stuff allover the back, it looks petty cool (if I do say so myself).. but I didn't take any pictures of it from the back because I am lame. 

I am seriously getting SO excited about moving to LA! I just wish it was sooner because right now I am in this weird limbo of not being able to do much. I cant really find a job because the ones on craigslist are like HIRING RIGHT NOW, and we still haven't gotten an apartment, but hopefully all of that will come together within the next two weeks. ~*~ wish me luck ~*~

Also, if you live in LA (or the surrounding area) I want to meet youuuu! I already have told many a blogger that I will be knocking on their door and demanding a coffee date.. but if I haven't discussed this with you, EMAIL me! hehehe. I want friends when I move to LA, and the more the merrier, really.

YOLANDI is my hero

Heyylooo!

I am pleasantly surprised with all of the comments on my last post. woooo. 

So lately all I have been doing is listening to Die Antwoord, last night I read all about them and their history and everything.. ahh love. I want to get Yolandi's face tattooed on my upper arm. I probably wont but, you know, maybe. haha!

my shirt says "bugle boy" my sister used to wear it everyday from 5th - 10th grade.. and so when I saw she was getting rid of it I TOOK IT! oh the memories I had of this sweatshirt... I ended up cutting off the sleeves because they were falling apart... so now it is like a muscle sweatshirt (with no hood) anyways, it is pretty rad. I am sure you will see it again soon, and you can get a better view of how it REALLY lookz.

It was rainy today. bleehh I moved away from Portland for a reason.. I don't need anymore rain. tehe. I think I am going to go wash my hair with dish soap, I hear it takes the color our quickly? I'll let ya know. I want to change my hair up again.. behehehehe.

Living in the City

Hello there friends. 

So, I made a full on PAGE for inspiration.. i.e. bloggers who I love. You should check it out, because it is really a grouping of the best of the best bloggers. (well, what I THINK are the best...)

Today I have been busy non-stop. I helped out setting up a dinner for my church for the Maundy Thursday service & dinner. I feel like I should address this.. I don't get asked things anonymously, like EVER, on tumblr or formspring. The only time I can remember that I did get asked something anonymously was someone asking if I was religious.

I grew up in a religious setting; both of my parents are Presbyterian pastors. My dad was serving at a church when I was born in San Francisco, and then he got a call to a church in Minneapolis and we moved here. I have been involved with interfaith activities during high school and college. I guess I am not super sure of what to call myself; I am definitely spiritual. I think that religions are not inherently bad or good. People make their religions bad or good. Community is what I value most about church, I love talking with old ladies, and running around the building with little kids, and chilling with high schoolers. The church I attend is super diverse as far as ages, which is awesome. One of the things that I know I believe is that everyone should be aloud to believe what they want. I do not shove theology down anyone's throat, and I do not tolerate others doing the same. I love learning about what other people believe and practice. I do find it pretty sad that a fair amount of young adults have super strong negative opinions against religion, like I said religions are not inherently good or bad. I wish that people wouldn't judge others if they are religious, or not religious.. Bleeehh ok enough of this. Basically I think people should chill out and not judge people without meeting them.

YOOO. So on monday I went to Value Village, spent about 50 bucks, (I had a $20 gift card from my brother for my birthday, woohoo, so I actually only spent 30 big ones). Today I am wearing things from that trip to VV! yayayay! 

So I have a good friend who has a band (don't we all..? lol) but his band is actually so good, and on my birthday (last Saturday) I bellydanced at his show, so it was like a sweet beats and bellydancing show.. it was pretty cool(if I do say so myself..) and tonight I am doing it again, only this time it is at like at a real venue (last time was at his college) it's at a bar/theater-y place. COOL!
